I am Ms. Lesley Taylor, a product of both Savannah and the ‘burbs of Atlanta, and a graduate of Georgia State University (B.A. Spanish with a Pathway in International Business; M.Ed. Reading, Language and Literacy with a Concentration in ESOL; Ed.S. in Early Childhood Education with Specialization in Coaching). My work in education, through the world of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Programming, this past decade and a half, has revolved around creating meaningful pathways for English Language Learners (ELLs), in grades K-8, to acquire the English Language by equipping students with the strategies, tools, and supports to develop their capacity in accessing State Standards. Nonetheless, when I am not thinking of language in terms of the senses, or concepts in the most unorthodox of ways, like distinguishing between Fact & Opinion through Taste Tests, I am an aficionado of planning anything from social gatherings to world adventures.
