• ATLANTA PUBLIC SCHOOLS RENEWING OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

Welcome to Atlanta Public Schools (APS). Our mission is that with a caring culture of trust and collaboration, every student will graduate ready for college and career. Our vision is one of a high-performing school district where students love to learn, educators inspire, families engage and the community trusts the system.

APS is organized into nine high school clusters with distinct feeder patterns. Unlike split-feeder patterns, the cluster model allows all students attending a particular elementary school to matriculate to the same middle school, and students enrolled at that middle school will matriculate to the same high school.

APS is committed to providing students with a high quality education. Under the leadership of Superintendent Meria J. Carstarphen, Ed.D, APS is renewing its commitment to the approximately 47,000 students that enter our classrooms daily.

Over the years, APS has enjoyed unwavering support from stakeholders, and our schools have benefited greatly from the support. As we raise expectations for our students and sharpen our focus on student achievement, we appreciate the backing of our parents, business partners and community  supporters, who continue to invest in our schools, our students and our future.
