Remedial Education Program
The Remedial
Education Program is an instructional program designed for students in grades 6-12 who have identified deficiencies in reading, writing, and math. This program provides individualized basic skills instruction as mandated by Georgia Law in the areas of reading, mathematics, and writing. All REP teachers must meetcertification requirements as defined by the Professional Standards Commission and be fully qualified to teach reading, writing, or mathematicsAPS offers the Remedial Education Program for identified students in grades 6-12 in all middle and high schools across the district. Students are identified based on assessment data that reflects areas of academic deficts. Services are provided in a variety of models. Parents are notified of services that will be provided.
