• Alonzo A. Crim Open Campus High School evolved in 2005-2006 school year.  We are a non-traditional program designed to fit the needs of non-traditional students.  Alonzo A. Crim Comprehensive High School closed its doors in 2005 leaving Open Campus to occupy the newly renovated campus.

Crim Open Campus High School is for students ages 16 and older residing in the City of Atlanta who have not found success in a traditional high school setting but wishes to earn a high school diploma.  Study is intense and concentrated without organized sports teams. Students take courses offered in the regular high school core curriculum depending upon the individual classes he/she needs in order to complete graduation requirements.  Students will receive advisement on course selection, standardized test preparation, post secondary options, and scholarship.

Students enrolled in the Crim Open Campus High School must meet all graduation requirements including all state assessments.  At the completion of their requirements for graduation, these students will have the opportunity to participate in graduation activities including a commencement.
For the 2019-2020 school year, Crim Open Campus combined with West End Academy to create one non-traditional high school, Phoenix Academy under the leadership of Dr. Evelyn Mobley.
