• BUILDING ON STRONG LEGACIES

Our school was named in honor of Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, neurosurgeon for the world-famous John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Carson has numerous accomplishments to include the first successful operation to separate a pair of Siamese twins in 1987.  He is not only a renowned surgeon, but also an author and mentor.

At B.E.S.T. Academy, Dr. Carson’s legacy of stewardship and his appreciation for academics is the foundation for our future generations, which will be carried over to the high school.  We will have a state of the art educational complex and will be one of the first high schools to offer single-gender education in Atlanta Public Schools, along with Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy High School (CSKYWLA).

Our students will build upon the accomplishments that were achieved in middle school, which will transcend them even further throughout their high school years.
