Rising 6th Grade Connection Guide
The Connections Department at Howard MS offers your rising 6th Grader enrichment opportunities of various perspectives: Leadership (Junior Leadership Corps), Career Awareness, Academic Skills, Science Enrichment, Performing Arts (Chorus, Band, Orchestra, and Dance/Film), Physical Education, Visual Arts, and World Languages (French, Latin, and Spanish).

Rising 6th Grade Connection ClassesSixth grade students have the option of taking connections classes that are either year-long programs (strings, band, or chorus, ) or semester random rotation classes (selected by Howard). Please note when selecting a year-long program, this WILL be a year-long commitment. Random connections courses include PE, art, JLC, career awareness, dance, science skills and exploratory grade 6 (includes Spanish, French & Latin). Students will have the option to select a year-long World Language in 7th grade, and do not need to have taken a World Language in 6th grade to qualify. Please complete this form by April 16, 2021.

Returning APS Student Enrollment OPEN!
The APS registration process only requires parents or guardians to register AND provide updated proof of residency when their child(ren) are new to the district, entering kindergarten, entering 6th grade, entering 9th grade, or whenever a change in residency occurs.
In order to ensure that we have allotted adequate space and resources for your child(ren) at DTHMS, we are asking that you complete online registration via your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account by March 31, 2021.Any questions, reach out to Mr. Perry (contact info is below).
