    B. E. Usher Elementary School is more than just a school. We are a shining jewel in Atlanta Public School's north west side. We have cultivated national leaders by offering a community of learning and leadership that transcends the walls of our great school.

    Why the lion?

    There's a reason for everything. So why the lion? Surely there are plenty of great mascots that inspire. However, we found that the lion, the preverbal King of the Jungle, would best represent our school and learning community. Lion's work together, hunt together, live together, play together, and survive together. That's what it means to be part of the the Usher Lion Pride!
