Welcome Back - Important Info!
Beginning of School Logistics & Important Info
-
Drop off begins at 7:15 and ends at 7:45. Students are dismissed at 2:15 pm.
-
Breakfast (optional) will be served for students in the cafeteria from 7:15-7:45 am. You’ll need to add money to your student’s account via MySchoolBucks.
-
Car riders must be dropped off at the front of the school in the carpool lane – please do not use the bus lane!
-
Walkers & bikers may enter from the front of the school. Bus riders will enter from the bus lane at the back of the school.
-
Please do not bring dogs onto the platform in the front of the school. While many of our community members love the furry friends, we must be respectful of the APS Guidelines which state that dogs are not allowed on school property.
-
If you didn’t attend Sneak Peek, you may bring your child’s school supplies to their classroom on the morning of the first day.
-
Parents of students in all grade levels (Pre-K through 5th) are welcome to walk their children to their classroom on the first day of school. Please make this a sweet “kiss & go” moment so that our teachers and students can get into their morning routine starting on August 1!
-
Parents of students in Pre-K and Kindergarten are welcome to walk their children to their classroom on the second day of school, August 2.
-
Starting on Monday, August 5, we ask that parents stop and give a kiss & hug at the front door so our youngest rockets can develop their sense of independence and get into the daily routine of walking to their classroom on their own (or, with a friend!). We will have staff members on hand to provide love & support as needed. 😊
Bus Transportation Policies
-
Mary Lin is going to follow the APS Transportation policy which states that students are only permitted to ride the bus that is assigned to their household.
-
APS buses can only transport students who are assigned to that specific bus, based on their home address.
-
For playdates where students are going home with another family, we ask that parents utilize carpool or walk/bike to pick those students up. We will not be able to send students home on buses that are not their assigned bus.
