Atlanta Public Schools Campus Messenger: Atlanta Public Schools Families and Staff, APS has received additional information from the City of Atlanta, clarifying the locations impacted by the boil water order. Click the link http://bit.ly/COABoilWaterSites for a list of APS schools and facilities within the geographic region identified by the City http://bit.ly/COABoilWaterMap on this map. APS schools and facilities within the impacted zone will continue to abide by the City’s boil water order. That order remains in effect until further notice from the City. APS schools and facilities outside of the impacted zone will follow normal operating procedures. Our Operations team has secured bottles of water and, because of the volume of water, plans to distribute those bottles to schools tomorrow in two shipments. We anticipate the first delivery to elementary schools at 6 a.m. and a subsequent delivery to middle schools and high schools by 10 a.m. Out of a continued abundance of caution, our Department of Nutrition will provide pre-packaged, ready-to-eat meals tomorrow at the schools impacted by the boil water order. If your child attends a school within the impacted zone, we encourage you to send your child to school tomorrow with water. APS will maintain normal operations tomorrow, Tuesday, December 4th, and we will continue to monitor this situation and keep you updated on any further developments.
