Separating Classes within the School

To reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 within buildings, inter-mingling between groups of students will be kept to a minimum. One way to think of this is creating “bubbles” within which a group of teachers and students will regularly interact, being careful not to step outside of their own bubble.

Because the APS Return to Learn plan specifies a return to in-person schooling only for younger students and students in low incidence programs, school bus transportation and the presence of siblings in schools mean that “bubbles” are not perfect, but schools will do what they can to minimize contact between students and staff in other bubbles to the greatest extent possible.
