December 6th will be a Virtual School Day for all students

We have an important announcement regarding our school and work schedule for Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the date of the Georgia Senate run-off election.

December 6 will be a virtual, asynchronous learning day for all schools and all departments, to support quality teaching and learning while balancing the safety and security of scholars and staff.

We are proud to be a part of the longstanding tradition of public-school houses serving as polling sites. Because 29 APS facilities are active polling stations, with three additional locations serving as ballot drop-off sites, the U.S. Senate runoff election on December 6 will impact our entire district, which is why we have made the decision to have a virtual day.

Please reach out to your school staff for further instructions and information as we plan together for this day. Charter and partner school families should check with their individual schools about plans for the day.

We thank you for your understanding and hope that you will cast your ballots on December 6 and that your scholars will have a productive day learning from home, as APS helps facilitate a smooth democratic process.

Visit the APS District website for more information about the Virtual School Day on December 6th.
