Astro Parents & Community,

I am writing to share an important update. Pending approval by the APS School Board, I will transition into a new role as a Cluster Superintendent for Atlanta Public Schools supporting the entire Douglass Cluster and Single Gender Schools. It has been an immense pleasure to serve this learning community over the past three years.

As my time as your principal draws to a close, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support, commitment, and dedication as learning partners during this journey. It has been a profound honor to be part of this incredible work, and the experiences I’ve had here have been among the most fulfilling of my professional career. Through every challenge and victory, I have grown and stretched in ways I will forever cherish.

I am extremely proud of the work we have accomplished together and feel fortunate to have led our exceptional students, talented staff, supportive families, and the entre Astro community. Your unwavering support and encouragement have made this school a special, loving, safe harbor for our students—a place where they can grow and thrive.

I look forward to supporting the continued success of Frederick Douglass High School while serving in my new capacity and am excited to see the incredible heights you all will reach in the future.
