Dear Parents,

On behalf of Principal Perry, the Admin team, the counseling department and the entire Miles faculty and staff, we would like to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year at Miles Intermediate School where....High Expectations and Excellence Plus Love equals a "MAYS"ing STUDENTS!!!

I am truly excited about working with all of our new, returning students and parents.  

One of my primary counseling focus is Career Readiness.  All students will be involved in classroom lessons that will introduce them to new careers and various colleges and universities.  Also, we believe that Character Education is the foundation for good citizenship and effective learning. Our commitment to Character Education program emphasizes different character traits such as honesty, respect, self-motivation and caring. This year we will incorporate SEL curriculum. The counseling department will host various activiites such as, Friendship Day, Unity Day and Random Acts of Kindness day just  to name a few.  Each month we will highlight the student of the Month with a fun celebration.  Attendance is a key factor in being a successful student, therefore we encourage students to be on time and present daily. 

We are dedicated to helping students prepare for the next phase of life.
