    Atlanta Public Schools is pleased to offer the following programs to all APS students regardless of cluster residence.

     

    XANADU

    Xanadu is a summer enrichment program for gifted and high achieving students offered by the APS Office of Gifted and Talented Education.  Academic content is implemented via fun and engaging experiences for students. (In person and Virtual)

    AP + IB College Success Boot Camp (High School Students)

    The AP/IB Boot Camp is designed to help high school students develop the skills needed to successfully complete advanced placement and/or IB courses. The boot camp will provide experiences that encourage teamwork and build communication, organization, critical reading and writing, and problem-solving skills. (In Person and Virtual)

    Host Site: Phoenix Academy (Former Crim High School)

    Level Up Math Academy (Middle and High School Students)

    Level Up Math is a summer enrichment program that is available to all APS rising 7th and 8th grade students, who qualify. This program is offered by the APS Secondary Mathematics Department and provides access to higher-level mathematics course work during the summer so that students can engage with pre-requisite content standards. This program provides students with content-focused engagement around transitional standards in preparation for participation in either Accelerated Math 7B/8 or Algebra I. (In person and Virtual)

    Host Site: Sutton Middle School (6th Grade Campus)

    SMSEA (High School Students)

    The Science and Math Summer Enrichment Academy (SMSEA) provides access to higher-level mathematics and science course work at the secondary level as students complete one math or science core course for a full high school credit during the summer. (In Person and Virtual)

    District Wide Virtual Kinder Camp

    Virtual Kinder Camp is an opportunity for children and their parent to learn routines, become comfortable with the school environment through a virual setting, and ensure that they are Day One ready for Kindergarten.

    Kindergarten Summer Transition Program (STP)

    The Office of Early Learning will host rising Kindergarten Summer Transition Programs (STP). STP is a 6 week, summer intensive academic program designed for students who need additional support prior to Kindergarten. STP will be offered in 8 school clusters. The program will run June 2-July 13 from 8:00 am-2:30 pm. If your child needs transportation you must select your zoned school cluster for STP; otherwise you can apply for any cluster. Completing an application does not guarantee acceptance. You will be notified via email if your child’s application is selected or waitlisted, as well as the program location within the selected cluster.

    There will also be one rising Pre-K STP class (students must be 4 years old by 9/1/21) located in North Atlanta cluster exclusively for students whose first language is Spanish
