Meredith Beard is thrilled to be joining the Virginia-Highland family!

Although born in Mississippi, Meredith spent most of her childhood living in various parts of Georgia, including North Georgia and the metro Atlanta area.

Meredith attended Mississippi State University and graduated magna cum laude in December of 2020. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

Meredith  taught 4th Grade in West Point, Mississippi; however, she is excited to teach 2nd grade and to be closer to family. Within the classroom, Meredith believes that students are lifelong learners and wants to play a part in teaching them to become confident, resilient learners. She is passionate about nurturing the whole child and preparing them to succeed as an individual in all aspects of life. Outside of school, in her free time, Meredith enjoys spending time with friends, shopping, watching college sports (Go Dawgs!) and exploring the city.
