Ms. Sarah Evanowski

Sarah Evanowski is so excited to teach first grade at Virginia-Highland Elementary! 

Sarah grew up in Pennsylvania as the youngest of three children. She moved to Athens, Georgia to attend the University of Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in French studies. After graduating, Sarah moved to Atlanta and taught at Creek View Elementary in Fulton County for five years. At Creek View, she taught first grade for three years before switching roles to become an ESOL teacher. She is currently receiving her master’s degree in reading education at UGA (Go Dawgs!).  

Sarah loves creating a welcoming classroom environment where students are excited to learn and work together. She values building strong relationships with all students and celebrating student growth. In her free time, Sarah loves to read, practice/teach yoga, and visit local coffee shops!
