I earned my B.S.Ed as well as my M.Ed in Elementary Education at UGA, along with endorsements in Gifted Education and teaching English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
I am originally from Lawrence, Kansas but have spent most of my life here in Georgia. I started my college career as an NCAA athlete (don’t let my height fool you) in women’s rowing at Syracuse University before deciding to switch paths and pursue a teaching career. I’ve spent the past four years teaching 5th graders and have absolutely loved getting to be a part of such a special, transitional year in their lives! Building a joyful community in the classroom is one of my favorite parts of being a teacher!
When I’m not teaching, you can find me making pottery, meeting with my book club, playing tennis, baking, or telling anyone who will listen that I am left-handed!
