• This year the Miles Tigers will participate in several Reading Incentive Programs. They are as follows:
     
    Accelerated ReaderAccelerated Reader Access- Students who reach their monthly reading goal for AR points in their class each month will enjoy special recognitions, prizes, and classroom celebrations.  
     
     

    Six Flags to Succeed Reading Program- Miles Elementary will be participating in an exciting program that encourages children in grades K-6 to read for fun, enhances the language arts program, and promotes family reading times. Each student who completes six hours of recreational reading by the deadline will earn a free admission ticket valid at Six Flags. The program ends on April 1 of each year.  Tickets are received via email or printed before May.

     BookIt  BookIt- Program runs from October 1 through the end of March. Your child has the opportunity to earn Reading Award Certificates by meeting monthly reading goals. Students will receive pizza certificates via email during virtual school.

    Program Mission: BOOK IT has been dedicated to encouraging reading in schools nationwide. And we know that to make a difference, you really have to Read Your Heart Out®. Our work is more than just a corporate mission, it’s a personal challenge to turn having to read into wanting to read and our time-tested incentives work. We are the largest and longest-running corporate supported reading program and now we are fostering the second generation of program alumni. We know that reading makes a difference.
