GIFTED at VAHI
-
As outlined in the Georgia Gifted Manual, VAHI has created a Gifted Service Plan where all students who have been identified as gifted are pulled out once a week for a full day to receive their gifted services. This model is referred to as the resource model. In addition to the resource model, VAHI encourages all teachers to work towards receiving their gifted endorsement. Currently, VAHI has over 40% of teachers with a gifted endorsement. This means that students who are in the gifted program as well as students who are not in the gifted program may have teachers who are gifted endorsed.

Parents interested in having their child tested for gifted services should carefully read through the Frequently Asked Questions (español) which outlines important information about the testing process.
For more information, please take a moment to review the Gifted Testing Informational Meeting conducted on prior to Open House.
Please view the OGATE testing information video below for more information. The GATE department is excited about the up-coming school year and looks forward to working with families this year.
