    New Hollis elevation renderingHuge changes are coming to Hollis! We are excited to share that we are undergoing a MAJOR $10 million renovation, which will occur in 3 phases, with a tentative completion date of August 2019.

    Phase 1

    Hollis Innovation Academy Renovation Rendering 2018-2019 Phase 1 will begin on Wednesday, May 30 and will continue through December 2018, which means everyone will be heavily impacted during the summer and next school year (2018-2019).

    Phase 1 will focus on the GRIFFIN STREET side of the building. The following classrooms/departments will move to the 1st floor of the building:

    • Main offices
    • Pre-k
    • Kindergarten
    • 1st grade
    • 4th grade
    • Specials

    ALL students will enter the building on the JAMES P. BRAWLEY DRIVE side of the building starting on May 30, until Phase 1 is complete.

    While we hope for all phases to be complete by the scheduled dates provided by contractors, all dates are tentative, and could change with little notice.


    Students Contribute to School Renovation


    Phase 2

    Renovation Rendering Phase 2 will begin around January 2019 and will continue through July 2019.

    The following classrooms/departments will move to the top (3rd) floor of the building, to their permanent locations:

    • Main offices
    • Pre-k
    • Kindergarten
    • 1st grade
    • 4th grade

    The following classrooms/departments will move to the 1st floor of the building:

    • 2nd grade
    • Some specials

    During Phase 2, there will be NO ACCESS to the Media Center.

    Students and visitors will again enter on the Griffin Street side of the building.


    Phase 3

    During Phase 3, classrooms and departments will shift within the building, as contractors complete the "finishing touches" (Media Center, STEM Labs, etc.). All classes will move to their permanent locations.
