• Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s),

I hope this message finds you well! First and foremost, let me extend a warm welcome to you and your child to John Lewis’ Gifted and Talented program. I couldn't be more thrilled about the opportunity to work with you and your scholar, and I'm looking forward to a year filled with excitement and productivity. This year, we'll be using a Gifted Resource Advanced Content model, which means our gifted teacher will be providing direct instruction to ensure that our students meet the GATE standards. For your convenience, there are website tabs that provide direct links to helpful resources regarding our GATE program. Also, I am incorporating two helpful video links that provide insight into eligibility and an outline of understanding gifted testing outcomes.

As we embark on this journey together, I'd like to share my expectations for our amazing students, which go above and beyond the regular school rules:

    • Follow directions and all school rules
    • Stay on task
    • Come prepared for class
    • Participate actively in class and activities
    • Show courtesy and respect to teachers, classmates, and themselves

I must say, I'm genuinely thrilled about this year, especially now that I know all the students. Gifted education is all about endless possibilities, and I'm privileged to work with the best of the best!
