Principal, Mr. Antonio Grant
Mr. Antonio Grant was born in Savannah, Georgia. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After eight years of active service, Mr. Grant began pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in History at Georgia State University.
Mr. Grant began his career in education as a Substitute Teacher in the Cobb County School District. After earning his Master of Arts in Teaching, he began teaching Social Studies at Ridgeview Charter Middle School in Fulton County Schools. After earning his Specialist in Educational Leadership, he moved into the role of Graduation Coach. In this role he designed programs to keep students engaged and connected to school and implemented strategies to keep students on track towards graduation. Mr. Grant then moved into the role of Assistant Principal at Langston Hughes High School and later Centennial High School. In his role as Assistant Principal, he led a Freshman Academy, schoolwide implementation of schoolwide literacy strategies, Schoolwide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Schoolwide.
Mr. Grant believes, “when we develop educators who are skilled in providing engaging, rigorous, and relevant learning experiences and when we support the academic, social emotional, and physical development our students, every child has the ability to attain success.”
Mr. Grant is the proud father of a daughter who attends the University of Georgia. He loves spending time with his daughter and his family. He also loves cooking, watching movies, and trying new restaurants. He also loves running 5K and 10K races.
