• Equitable Learning Environments

    • Provides technical support and programming for school-based staff and personnel to create inclusive, culturally responsive, and equitable environments for students and staff.


    • Impact Spotlight:
      • Expand evidence of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Practices throughout the district. 
        • Achieved 100% completion rate for the Implicit Bias 101 Training course among APS Principals, Associate Superintendents, Deputy Superintendent, Schools Division leaders, and APS clusters. 
        • Completed second year of working with the first cohort of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Leadership Pilot Schools, with the intent to duplicate best practices in professional development of other leaders in all schools. Of the responding participants, 66% said the Office of Equity + Social Justice engagement sessions were effective and another 73% said the sessions were a valuable use of time.
