Hollis welcomes new Principal, Dr. Tiffany Brown

Dr. Tiffany BrownDr. Tiffany Brown has been named as the new principal of Hollis.

"I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve the DeKalb County School District for 25 years in the position of middle and high school science teacher, science department chair, middle school assistant principal, and elementary school principal. My administrative experience has been molded through 12 years of successful leadership as a middle school assistant principal in all areas, including discipline, attendance and instruction, along with seven years as the proud principal of Browns Mill Elementary School. I’m most proud of the movement of Browns Mill Elementary School from a failing CCRPI of 51.3 to 71.3 in four years, resulting in the school being removed from the state chronically failing school lists and being named a “Beating the Odds” school for two consecutive years. I am an instructionally focused, data driven, relational leader. I am elated to have the opportunity to bring my skills as an educational leader to the beautiful Michael R. Hollis Innovation Academy and to work in partnership with you to ensure optimum success of each of our students!

I am looking forward to an amazing year! Together, we will focus on fostering a nurturing and safe environment for our children, using data to drive our instructional processes, and increasing the use of differentiated instructional strategies to increase students’ achievement as we reboot from COVID. We will continue nurturing the social and emotional needs of our students, along with providing exciting and challenging enrichment opportunities for all students."
