Eight grade student, Jenaya Gaines, was selected as a REACH Scholar for the Class of 2025.As scholarship recipients, students will receive $10,000 - $30,000 to attend any eligible in-state college/university after graduating from high school. Jenaya was awarded $10,000 to select state of Georgia schools, or $30,000 to Mercer University or Kennesaw University.
The acronym REACH stands for Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen (REACH) Program. The program launched as a pilot program during the 2011-2012 Academic Year, is a need-based youth development and scholarship program with specific financial, academic, and behavior eligibility requirements.
