• Mr. Sam De Carlo

Looking forward to a great year in 5th grade!

I am Sam De Carlo and this is my eighth year at Morris Brandon and twelth year in this career.  During my time here, I have taught both 4th and 5th grades.  Before moving and starting my career in the Atlanta area, I taught at the middle school level, and two years of long-term substitute teaching at the high school level.  I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, with an additional major in social studies and minors in math and music from Oakland University in Detroit, MI.  My academic strengths include math, social studies, writing, language arts, music, and technology.

I am looking forward to all this year will have to offer!  This school year promises to be one of academic growth, challenges, and added responsibilities.  I love learning new things and guiding students to learn new things.  I strive to be the best at everything I do, and I try to empower my students with that same ethic.  I firmly believe that every child can learn.  With a positive attitude and diverse teaching strategies, every child can succeed and become a life-long learner.

I am very excited to learn more about each of you during our journey into educational excellence together.  Have a restful summer and see you in August!
