  • What is the PEACH Education Tax Credit?

    The PEACH Education Tax Credit allows individuals and businesses to support innovative programs that foster educational excellence for students across Georgia.

    Donors receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on their Georgia state income tax — meaning you can direct your tax dollars to a local project while making a lasting impact.

     

    How to Participate

    1. Apply now at gfpe.org.
      (The application takes less than one minute!)

    2. Receive approval.
      The Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE) and the Georgia Department of Revenue will notify you of your approved tax credit amount and provide a payment deadline.

    3. Make your donation.
      Submit your payment to GFPE by the deadline (within 60 days of approval). Be sure to designate your donation to “Virginia-Highland Elementary School.”

    4. Claim your tax credit.
      When you file your Georgia income taxes the following year, complete Form IT-QED-TP2 and attach it to your return to claim your credit.

     

    Contribution Limits

    • Individuals: Up to $2,500 (single) or $5,000 (married filing jointly)

    • C-Corporations, Trusts, and S-Corporations filing separately: Up to 75% of annual Georgia income tax liability

    • S-Corporation owners, LLC members, or partners: Up to $25,000 or 75% of Georgia income tax liability(whichever is less)

     

    ✅ Example: If you donate $5,000, you’ll receive a $5,000 credit on your Georgia state income taxes.
