Dr. Qualyn McIntyre
Dr. Qualyn McIntyre began serving as the Assistant Principal for J.W. Dobbs Elementary School during the 2019-2020 school year. Before becoming the assistant principal at Dobbs, Dr. McIntyre served in a dual role as the Teacher Development Program Manager with Atlanta Public Schools and CREST-Ed District Coordinator at Georgia State University where she was responsible for the development and oversight of several teacher preparation and teacher leadership initiatives. She has over 20 years of experience in education and still has a strong belief that our children are our greatest resource. Moreover, McIntyre values the field of education and the educators that lead in the field. She believes that in order to ensure quality learning experiences for students, we must ensure that our teachers and leaders are prepared, and continually developed and supported in order to be effective.
Dr. McIntyre received her B.S. degree in elementary education from Alabama A&M University, M.Ed. from Cambridge University, and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University. Overall, McIntyre is driven to inspire, in teachers and leaders, a commitment to lifelong learning and a desire to continue to grow personally and professionally.
