The Andrew P. Stewart Center exists to see our neighbors living purposeful lives in pursuit of their full potential. The organization promotes strong communities through educational initiatives, wellness resources, and housing solutions. The Center is a community development organization that directs all of its resources in partnership with Pittsburgh residents to transform the neighborhood into a place of hope and opportunity. Learn more about our programs and services below.
K-5 Academic Support:
- Learning Labs - APSC supports our parents and students with distance learning by hosting daily in-person Learning Labs for Kindezi@Gideons students from 8am-2pm. Learning Labs provide a safe, structured learning environment for academic and technical support. Each group consists of 5 elementary students in the same grade working alongside one APSC team member. The staff will ensure that the students are equipped to log-on to the virtual school platform, are tracking their classroom teacher, and completing online assignments.
