Dear Bunche Charger families,

In line with our commitment to enhancing the safety and security of our school communities, Atlanta Public Schools introduced two new systems: the Raptor Visitor Management System and the Centegix Crisis Alert System. These systems went into effect in select APS traditional and partner schools on Monday, April 8, 2024.

The Raptor Visitor Management System will require all non-APS employees, which includes parents, vendors, visitors, and community volunteers entering select APS buildings, to check in at the front office or front desk. Additionally, each visitor will be required to digitally check in with photo identification. This system will allow us to monitor building access and maintain awareness of all visitors to our campus.

The Centegix Crisis Alert System is a powerful tool in our safety arsenal. It will enable our staff members to respond promptly to emergencies, ranging from health-related incidents to critical lockdown situations. Each teacher and staff member will have access to a button on their Centegix badges, enabling them to request assistance quickly and effectively.

En cumplimiento con nuestro compromiso de mejorar la seguridad de nuestras comunidades escolares, APS introdujo dos nuevos sistemas: el Sistema de Gesti6n de Visitas Raptor (Raptor Visitor Management System) y el Sistema de Alerta de Crisis Centegix (Centegix Crisis Alert System). Estos sistemas entraron en vigor en algunas escuelas tradicionales y asociadas de APS el lunes 8 de abril de 2024.

El Sistema de Manejo de Visitas Raptor requerira que todos los empleados que no sean de APS, lo que incluye padres, proveedores, visitas y voluntaries de la comunidad que ingresen a las instalaciones de APS, deberan registrarse en la oficina principal o en la recepci6n. Ademas, cada visita debera registrarse digitalmente con una identificaci6n con foto. Este sistema nos permitira controlar el acceso a las instalaciones y conocer a todos los que visitan nuestras escuelas.

El sistema de alerta de crisis Centegix es una poderosa herramienta de seguridad. Permitira a los miembros de nuestro personal responder rapidamente a las emergencias, desde incidentes relacionados con la salud hasta cierres escolares de emergencia. Todos los maestros y miembros del personal tendran acceso a un bot6n en sus tarjetas de identificaci6n Centegix, que les permitira solicitar ayuda de forma rapida y eficaz.
