Students are meaningfully engaged with both the content and performance standards of the National and GA Performance Standardsfor Health and Physical Education. Therefore every student will have the opportunity to participate in a quality Physical Education program which develops health-related fitness, physical competence in movement activities, cognitive understanding and positive attitudes towards physical activity promoting long term health and physically active lifestyles.
A quality physical education program is important because it provides a learning experience that meets a student's developmental needs, which in turn improves mental alertness, academic performance, readiness and enthusiasm for learning.
