Based on increasing demand in virtual learning options and a review of the current health conditions in our community, Atlanta Public Schools will expand enrollment and open additional seats in Atlanta Virtual Academy after assessing parent interest and our ability to provide adequate staffing.
Enrollment into Atlanta Virtual Academy is granted based on space availability. APS Student Assignment and Records Department will institute and facilitate a lottery process to select students for available seats in AVA. Staff availability will drive the number of seats available for each grade level.
The application window is set for September 15, 2021 – October 22, 2021. The lottery is scheduled for November 5, 2021.
