Andre Pam

Investigator Pam brought with him 13 years of policing experience as he joined the Atlanta Public Schools Police Department in March of 2017. He started his career in law enforcement with the DeKalb County Police Department protecting and serving the citizens of DeKalb County in many different roles during his tenure such as patrol officer in the field division, served in the community policing division, excelled in the detective division and made a huge impact in the Police Athletic League.Department.

Raynard Price

Sergeant - North Atlanta & Washington

Raynard Price has been with the APSPD since March of 2023 in the role of Sergeant of the Gang Intelligent Unit. He comes with over 25 years of service to the City of Atlanta Police Department. He is responsible for gathering gang information and involvement in the school system.

"My favorite part of working with kids/APS is keeping kids out of gangs and showing the youth other avenues to success and informing staff members on identifying gang involvement in the schools."

Matthew Harris

Sergeant - Charter/Partners & Carver

Matthew Harris has been with the Atlanta Public Schools Police Department since January of 2022. Since being with the APSPD Harris has been promoted twice and is now at the rank of Sergeant. Harris comes to APSPD with 14 years of Law Enforcement experience. A hobby of mine is playng basketball at Georgia Tech with friends and students from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Nadia Byrd

Sergeant - Douglass & Mays

Nadia Byrd has been with the Atlanta Public School Police Department since May 2016 in the roles of SRO and Investigator. She began her law enforcement career with Fulton County Police Department protecting and serving the citizens of South Fulton County. During her 18 years of service in law enforcement, Byrd has gained experience in areas such as COPS Unit, Court Division, Investigations and Juvenile Justice and is a POST certified training instructor. Byrd is currently  assigned as Sergeant over the Douglass, Mays and Therrell Cluster and the Investigations Division.

Shaquita Kent

Shaquita Kent has been with the APSPD since 2019 in the role as a School Resource Officer.  She was recently promoted to the role of Sergeant. Sergeant Kent comes with 14 years of Law Enforcement experience. She is responsible for the Alarm Response Officers. Sergeant Kent is an Atlanta native; she graduated in 2003 from George Washington Carver High School, as Valedictorian. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. During her time in law enforcement, she has developed a passion for rehabilitating troubled juveniles and building better relationships with the community.

Khristia Bynum

Sergeant - Alarm Response Unit

Sergeant Bynum has been with the Atlanta Public Schools Police Department since 2016 in the roles of School Resource Officer and Investigator.  She comes with over 16 years of law enforcement, federally and locally. Sergeant Bynum is responsible for the Alarm Response Officers Unit. Her hobbies include: traveling, exercising and spending time with family and loved ones.
