• My name is Cedric Woodard. I am the Career and Technical Instruction (CTI) Coordinator at Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy. As the CTI Coordinator, I will provide instructional support, resources, and accommodation for students with disabilities in the ninth and twelfth grades.

In my capacity, I will coordinate services needed for students to achieve their post-secondary goals after high school. In addition, I will work with individual students to improve the following skills: self-efficacy, independent learning, self-management, social skills, critical thinking, stress management, and academic development. In order to prepare the young woman for college and a career, the students will engage in transition opportunities such as job application skills, soft skills for employment, resume building, interview skills, and much more.

As a part of this program, each student is expected to obtain a Georgia Identification Card or driver’s license. In addition, each student needs immediate access to their original copy of their Social Security card. When employment becomes available, these documents will be required at this time. In addition to this letter, I am providing the Parent Educational Packet for the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation (GVRA) Program and Transition Parental Permission Form. These documents will be sent to you via your student. Please complete the Transition Parental Permission Form and return to me (Mr. Woodard) by Monday, August 21, 2023. If you have questions or concerns, then feel free to contact me at 404-802-4957 (office number) or 404-587-1916 (cell). I can also be reached via email cxwoodard@atlanta.k12.ga.us.

I look forward to working with you and building relationships.

    Sincerely,

    Cedric Woodard, Ed.S.
