(I) For determining student eligibility, the grading period shall be a semester. The same period shall also be the minimum length of the ineligibility period.(II) Students participating in competitive interscholastic activities shall pass a minimum of 70% of courses carrying credit toward grade promotion in the semester immediately preceding participation.APS Policy DOES NOT allow 6th grade students to participate in FOOTBALL ONLY. They are allowed to try-out for the other sports.Other Requirements
To participate in sports at King, students must complete and turn in:1. Enrolled student at King Middle School2. Set UP and complete Dragonfly Max.3. Physical form - A doctor's examination is required. Sports physical can be obtained through your child's Pediatrician, at Whitefoord Clinic (King Middle School location). The cost is $25.00 for a sports physical, or at the Little Clinic in the Kroger on Glenwood Ave across from Maynard Jackson High School. The Little Clinic is open 7 days a week.
