Mrs. Wilma Brightharp is the library media specialist assigned to the Benteen Elementary School Media Center.  This is her tenth year at Benteen.  Prior to this assignment, she was the library media specialist at Capitol View Elementary School until it closed at the end of the 2011-2012 school year.  Working as a librarian/media specialist was her dream job as a child.  She has a passion for reading, finding out new things, working with technology, and making things.
Reading has always been on the top of her list of hobbies.  She has a long list of children's books that she really enjoys reading, but here are just a few titles that she would like to share. Take a look to see if any of her favorites are on your list of favorites too:
The Little Engine That Could, by Watty Piper
Good Night Moon, by Margaret Wise Brown
A Snowy Day, by Ezra Jack Keats
Honey, I Love, by Eloise Greenfield

Mrs. Brightharp says, "This year I am challenging the Benteen students to read for 20 minutes or more each night.  I am working with teachers, and the administration to encourage our students to increase their Lexile Measures by the end of this school year.  I am also challenging myself to read for at least one hour each day.  Check in periodically to see what I am reading."
