End of Year Awards Day Recognition
At the end of the school year, the following awards are recognized for students in grades 1st – 5th grade for their yearlong achievements:

Principal Honor Roll
Students have earned all A’s (90% or above) for all four (4) report card marking periods for each of the core content courses (Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies).

Students are recognized by their homeroom teachers for going above and beyond to exemplify the characteristics of a Slater Student:

Most Improved
Students are recognized for the greatest improvement for the year in the following core content areas:

*Two students are recognized for demonstrating the highest growth.
Highest Average
Students are recognized for having the highest average in the following core content areas:
- Mathematics

Enrichment Awards
Students are recognized for their achievement and growth in the following enrichment courses:

*Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd semester students
Beginning with the 2023-2024 school year, all students who are being promoted to the next grade will receive a promotional certificate during the End of Year Awards Day program.
**Additional awards may be added to recognize the achievement of students from the school year.
In addition to the end of year awards, throughout the year, students are recognized for their continuous efforts and achievements in the following areas:
