• K. Walker My name is Kassia Walker and I am excited to be the mathematics and science instructional coach for the 2016-2017 school year! My job is to work with classroom teachers to support student learning and help every child to show growth. I will do this through modeling lessons, co-teaching, and providing research-based professional development designed to refine instructional practices.

Before becoming a math and science coach, I taught first through fifth grades in Clayton County and Atlanta Public Schools. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development from Spelman College, a Master’s in Education degree from Georgia State University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning from Argosy University. I also have a Mathematics Endorsement.

Additionally, I am the proud mother of a sixteen-year-old boy who is a junior in high school. My interests outside of Peyton Forest include: cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons, playing flag football and kickball, exercising, reading, listening to live music, and traveling.
