I am Sondra Gay and my role this school year at Peyton Forest Elementary School is to support primary teacher with their instructional needs and the IB Specialist.
I have received over 60 hours of Orton-Gillingham training and I’m known as the OG Queen of Peyton Forest. As the IB PYP Specialist, I serve as the leader of the IB Program. It is my goal to provide educational development for students and staff, as well as to promote appropriate parent and community awareness.
I’m originally from New York City. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Fisk University in Nashville,Tennessee in 1996 and one year later earned my Master’s degree from Tennessee State University in Administration and Supervision. I have lived in Atlanta for the last 19 years and have taught in the city of Atlanta the entire time.
I love to travel and hope to share my experiences to broaden the minds of our Peyton Tigers.
