Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Every day, all students begin their day in Advisory. Half of the Advisory time is devoted to Social Emotional Learning or SEL. Social Emotional Learning is a way for students to learn to understand and manage their emotions, set and achieve positive goals, show empathy for others, maintain positive relationships and make responsible decisions.
Purpose of SEL: To facilitate the development of strong, trusting relationships that lead to collaboration and mutual support within the classroom and beyond.
