Since 2004, Zawadaski Robinson has served as a teacher, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal in Atlanta Public Schools.  Robinson began his professional career in Atlanta Public Schools at Price Middle School as a teacher. He was the district’s 2007-2008 teacher of the year. In 2008, Robinson was promoted to instructional coach at Maynard Jackson High School. In 2011, he became the assistant principal of Parks Middle School, and in 2013, Robinson joined Forrest Hill Academy as an assistant principal. Under his leadership, Parks Middle School moved from Needs Improvement Level 13 to students achieving 80% and higher meeting and exceeding standards on the Criterion-Referenced Competency Test in all core content areas.

While at Forrest Hill Academy, Robinson launched the district’s first blended learning program. The recidivism rate and suspension rates greatly decreased; next, he looks forward to collectively achieving the following:
To ensure academic achievement and academic growth for all students in a blended virtual environment.
 To ensure that students are college or career ready
 To ensure social and behavioral growth
 To facilitate the development of shared school vision and goals
 To foster professional relationships and partnerships with the city of Atlanta stakeholders
 To hire and retain high quality alternative school instructional and support staff

“I am thankful to have the opportunity to build upon the strengths of strong students, a strong staff, and a strong school and community. We will collectively increase student achievement and provide a better alternative.”

Robinson earned degrees from Clark Atlanta University (B.S., Biology) and Troy State University (MPA, Public Management). He recently earned his doctoral degree from Clark Atlanta University.
