Tutoring

At the beginning of each month, Perkerson teachers identify students needing assistance in remediation and/or enrichment in particular academic areas. Teachers, with the assistance of additional staff members, will be responsible for re-teaching, reinforcing or enriching skills that have been previously taught in the classroom.

Your child’s teacher will notify you in advance if he/she would like for your child to stay for Tutoring.

APS Tutoring Policy

APS Board Policy GBRGB states that “teachers employed by APS shall not teach or coach for pay any student in the Atlanta Public Schools during the regular school year.”  This includes tutoring, sports camps, etc.  Please do not offer payment for these services to any employee of APS because it is a direct violation of Board policy and could result in disciplinary action toward the teacher.
