• Community Service

     

    All Atlanta Public School Students must perform 75 hours of community service to graduate.

    There are many different opportunities available for community service. Here are just a few that may be of interest to students:

    Each One Reach One Community Impact Project - "With the help of some dedicated tutors and mentors, we have been able to provide community-based support for children and their families through educational, recreational and community service projects." This program was founded by Antonio Jennings, a 2006 NAHS graduate. Tutoring is generally conducted on Saturdays at North Atlanta. Visit the website for more information and to volunteer.

    Project Open Hand - volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve meals to homeless women and children. Email Roz Tucker or call 404-419-3320.

    Hands on Atlanta Tool Bank - Juniors & Seniors can volunteer to sort through tools and materials for upcoming projects. Email Gina Chaves or call 404-880-0054 x11.

    Med Share International - Volunteers are needed to sort through and separate medical supplies. Email David Winograd or call 770-941-1108.
