• Dear North Atlanta High School Students, Parents, Staff and Community,

I would like to thank the entire North Atlanta High School community for the heartfelt love and support that you have shown me during my recent appointment as Principal.  I am both honored and excited to be able to continue working in such a great school and community.  There are so many great things happening at North Atlanta.  It would be an understatement to say that I am anxious about getting the new school year started.

While I have gotten to know so many students and parents during the year, I would like to provide a brief snapshot of myself for those who that I have yet to meet.  I was born and raised in New York City by two loving parents who stressed the importance of education.  Upon graduating high school, I relocated to Atlanta to attend Morehouse College, where I graduated with a Bachelors’ Degree in History.  During my matriculation at Morehouse, I fell in love with the city of Atlanta and decided to remain here to pursue a career in education.  I served as a classroom teacher for more than ten years in both Fulton and Dekalb County Public School Systems.   My area of concentration was Special Education.  Therefore, I taught all subjects in an elementary self-contained classroom.  I also worked as a high school interrelated teacher, teaching the subject areas of Language Arts and Mathematics.  I attained an M.Ed from Georgia State University and an Ed.S in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. I began my tenure as a High School Assistant Principal nine years ago in Gwinnett County Public Schools working at Shiloh High School and North Gwinnett High School.

As the principal of North Atlanta High School, I will ensure that the students of NAHS will be provided a safe and structured learning environment.  I will guarantee that NAHS has a dedicated faculty and staff who prioritize student learning.  I look forward to working with our students to establish a student-centered culture in which they have input and share in the responsibility of making NAHS a world class school.

I will do everything in my power to make sure that the students at North Atlanta High School receive a high quality education coupled with positive and memorable high school experiences.  I am confident that together, we will create a world class school that reflects that mighty Warrior spirit that lies within each student at NAHS.
