Ms. Nadyne Jackson-West

Ms. Nadyne Jackson-West, a.k.a. Ms. Jay, joined the Benteen Bulldogs as a Pre-K lead teacher in February 2011.  She has demonstrated personal and professional commitment as an advocate and mentor for early childhood education for the past 15 years.  She is ESOL certified, CDA Professional Development Specialist/Advisor for the CDA Council, in Washington, DC, and a former NYC Teaching Fellow, New York, New York.


Ms. Jay earned a Master's degree in early childhood education from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, New York.  She employs developmentally appropriate strategies that spark curiosity and uncovers the brilliance in young children.  In her spare time, Ms. Jay enjoys travelling, gardening, along with spending time with friends and family.
