Atlanta Public School is pleased to announce that as of January 5, 2015 Atlanta Public Schools has launched an automated service that greatly simplifies and streamlines the process of recording, managing and finding substitutes. This service is called Aesop. The Aesop service will be available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be accessed via internet and phone. We expect Aesop to assist the District with our efficiency regarding the deployment of Substitutes.Substitute applications are also accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Please check for substitute job postings via Human Resources Career Connections.Additionally, we have launched new substitute categories and pay rate effective January 5. 2015.

Access Aesop starting January 5, 20151. Only employees who require substitutes (i.e. teachers, counselors, paraprofessionals, media specialists) and substitutes will schedule jobs in Aesop for the 2014 - 2015 school year.2. Employees can interact with Aesop on the internet at http://www.aesoponline.com. Starting January 5, 2015, employees will be able to enter absences, check your absence schedule, update personal information, and exercise other features such as uploading your lesson plans for substitutes to view online. Substitutes will be able to schedule jobs, available work days, and enter location preferences.
3. Employees can also call Aesop at 404-802-0029 OR toll free at 1-800-942-3767. Simply follow the voice menu to enter and manage absences and access other features. Aesop will automatically record employee names and titles into the system. We recommend that employees call in to check the computer recording of their name and title, and re-record if necessary. To do this, press Option 5 and follow the prImportant Notes:
*Affected employees and substitutes will receive an email with your username and PIN number. E-mails are sent to the Substitute's APS district email. For assistance accessing district email, contact Client Support at 404-802-1000.
