Born and raised in the heart of Lawrence, Kansas, Radiah Smith's passion for education and love for her community were evident from an early age. Her journey as an educator began with a solid foundation laid at Drury University, where she pursued a degree in Elementary Education. Armed with the knowledge and determination to make a difference, Radiah embarked on her teaching career in 2004, ready to inspire young minds.

Over the years, Radiah honed her skills as an educator and expanded her academic horizons at Central Michigan University. There, she earned a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. She also obtained endorsements specializing in Reading and Gifted Education. Equipped with a diverse range of expertise, Radiah became an invaluable asset in nurturing the unique talents and potential of her students.

Throughout her career, Radiah has had the privilege of guiding students from kindergarten to 5th grade, shaping their academic journeys with care and compassion. Currently, as a gifted teacher, she thrives in creating challenging and engaging learning environments that foster creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning.

Beyond the classroom, Radiah's zeal for life shines brightly. Family and friends hold a special place in her heart, and she cherishes every moment spent with them. When not at SPARK, igniting the spark of curiosity in her students, she can be found exploring new culinary delights at restaurants, losing herself in the magic of movies, or immersing herself in the joyous ambiance of a live music concert.

Reading is another one of Radiah's cherished pastimes, and she finds solace and inspiration within the pages of books. Moreover, Radiah's passion for sports is unyielding; whether it's cheering for her hometown teams or proudly supporting the Kansas Jayhawks (ROCK CHALK JAYHAWKS!), Kansas City Royals, and Chiefs, her dedication to her beloved teams knows no bounds.

Education runs in Radiah's blood, as she proudly represents the fourth generation of educators in her family. This legacy fuels her commitment to shaping the future and nurturing the minds of tomorrow's leaders.
