Dismissal Changes
If your child has a permanent change, their permanent bag tag should be updated. For example, now that clubs have started and they are in Art Club every Monday, their permanent bag tag needs to reflect this. For dismissal changes, email your child’s teacher and Mrs. Taylor at Odette.Taylor@atlanta.k12.ga.us. All dismissal changes must be requested before 12:00 PM each day.
Absent? If your child is absent, please send your written excuse to Mrs. Taylor and your child’s teacher so that it can be properly recorded.

A Message from your Principal

Dear SPARK Families,
Welcome back from the Thanksgiving holiday! We hope you enjoyed a restful break filled with moments of connection and joy. Thank you for helping make the week before the holiday such a tremendous success. Our Thanksgiving lunches, PTO Book Fair and SPARK Literacy Night were all made possible through the support, energy and generosity of our families. We are immensely grateful for the community that surrounds our students and cares so deeply for their well-being.
As we return, we want to remind you that MAP testing is scheduled to take place this week. The MAP assessment serves as a universal screener that helps teachers understand what students have already mastered and what they are ready to learn next. It is an important tool that helps identify students who may benefit from additional remediation or enrichment opportunities. At the same time, we want to ensure that our students do not feel an overwhelming sense of pressure. You can support them by reinforcing at home that they should try their best while also understanding that it is perfectly fine not to know every answer. A calm mindset and a steady return to routine will help them feel confident and ready for learning.
In the spirit of building joy and community, we have planned several spirit wear days in the coming weeks. Participation is completely optional, yet we hope these opportunities bring a bit of fun to the school day. We also look forward to seeing many of you at events these next couple of weeks as we celebrate the close oof 2025 and the end of our first semester. .
We are grateful for your ongoing partnership and wish you a bright and positive start to the weeks ahead.
Warmly,
Dr. Jennifer Toney
