    Arrival and Dismissal

SPARK had a successful first week! Please take a few minutes each day to review your child’s carpool or bus route number with them at home. Knowing this important information helps students feel confident and ensures they get to the right place quickly and safely. For dismissal changes, email your child’s teacher and Ms. Taylor at Odette.Taylor@atlanta.k12.ga.us. All dismissal changes must be requested before 12:00 PM each day.

A Message From Your Principal

  • Dear SPARK Families,

What an incredible first week! Thank you for helping us kick off the school year with such positivity and support. The warmth and enthusiasm in our building truly made it feel like a family reunion—we loved seeing how much your children have grown and welcoming our new Dragons into the fold.

As we move into Week 2, we encourage you to continue the routines you've established at home to support a smooth transition each day. One big way you can help is by aiming to get your child to school as close to 7:15 AM as possible. This allows students to settle in, prepare for the day, and start strong.

We know that saying goodbye at the door can be a tough transition, especially after a summer of togetherness. Please know we have caring staff stationed throughout the building to assist students in getting to class safely and confidently. Pre-K parents are welcome to continue walking their children down the ramp to the cafeteria courtyard door for drop-off.

We're also working diligently to get all students home safely and efficiently on the bus each afternoon. Thank you for your flexibility and patience as we fine-tune our systems.

A few more reminders and updates:

    • Interested in volunteering at SPARK? CLICK HERE to begin the Level 2 and 3 clearance process.

    • Parents may begin eating lunch in the cafeteria with their child during Week 3. We have special tables designated just for parents and their students.

    • Curriculum Night will take place on Thursday, August 21 from 5:30–7:00 PM. This is a parent-only event that offers an inside look at classroom routines and curriculum. We hope to see you there!

    • Mark your calendars for SPARK Atlanta United Night on September 13! CLICK HERE to purchase your tickets.

Thank you again for making our first week one to remember. We’re so excited for the year ahead and grateful to partner with you in supporting your amazing kids.

    Warmly,

    Dr. Jennifer Toney
