Mrs. Tenecia Powe
Instructional Technology Specialist
Tenecia Powe will begin her first year at Inman Middle School as the Instructional Technology Specialist. A former research and development chemist, she spent eight years as a science teacher for Clayton County Public Schools before becoming a Digital Learning Specialist for the district. Mrs. Powe also worked for Kennesaw State University as an education technology specialist.
Mrs. Powe grew up in both suburban Baltimore and rural Alabama. A lifelong learner, she has a degree in Chemistry from the University of West Alabama and received her Masters of Education in Instructional Technology from the University of West Georgia. She is currently completing an Ed.S. program in Education Leadership. In addition to having both gifted and Teacher Support Coach endorsements, Mrs. Powe is a Google Certified Level 2 Educator and hopes to become a Google Certified Innovator soon.
Mrs. Powe believes that all students deserve a quality education and that thoughtful, integrated technology is an effective way to meet the unique needs of all learners. She is married to a fellow educator, Marquis Powe, and they have one daughter, Ashlyn.
